Generally your computer has to be in good order, we recommend, windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 operating systems, but its not impossible to  have other operating systems, such as older windows programs, Linux or Mac based systems.

You computer should have a reasonable amount of RAM, this is the physical amount of memory inserted into the motherboard of you computer, generally a computer that is a few years old running windows XP service pack 3, will required around 2GB of ram.

Its no good to increase the speed of your internet connection if your computer won't keep up.

As a rule of thumb, you should have 10-20% of your main hard drive free.

Complicated Antivirus programs and firewalls cause most satellite connections to run slow, over the years we have found that the basic windows firewall is sufficient, and simple antivirus software is effective.

If you don't want your computer infected with a virus, ban you kids from Limewire, beebo and other file sharing websites.

We don't recommend the playing of online games such as warcraft etc, over a satellite connection, due to the costs involved.
