There are many options available for your satellite installation, over the years we have completed many difficult installations, your installation will be completed with the following criteria in mind.

1.    Easy and safety of access. 

       Don't ask us to put equipment in places that are going to be dangerous for technicians to install/service.

2.    Line of sight to the satellite.

       We have to have clear line of sight to the satellite, 336 degrees magnetic 37 degrees elevation.

3.    Aesthetics

       We will do our best to disguise the visual impact of the satellite dish on you property, but there are limitations, please be realistic.

4.    Weatherproofing.

        We have to make sure your roof won't leak when we have finished your installation. Some dish locations are better than others.

5.    Length of run for the cabling to the indoor unit, we can only use 20m of RG6 coaxial cable from the transmit/recieve device to the satellite modem. Some 3mtrs is used up on the roof, connecting up the dish, so realisticaly, you can only have the modem, 15mtrs from the dish.

6.    There are other options, such as cat 5 cabling between the modem and you computer, and we also use devices called "Plug packs", these transmit a data signal over the mains wiring of you house, so if you have a garage or outbuilding, reasonable colose to your house we can use these to get a signal to you computer.

7.    If the equipment is to be installed in a new house, we suggest you contact us for for a pre wire, or advice on dish and modem sighting. Most electricians have no understanding of the equipment we use. So don't just take it for granted that your sparky will know what to do. We are happy to give out free advice and cable installation for any one building a new house, it saves us a lot of time and bother in the long run.
